Smoke Bomb!

What's this? A comic? And only a week and a half after the last one none the less. Don't have much to say about this one other than I'm sorry of the cold emotionless beast I unleashed on the world in the third panel. I was trying to go for sexy face but somehow wound up with soulless abomination, and for this I am sorry.

It haunts me in my dreams.....

Existentialism, Thursdays at 8

There's a little solipsism thrown in there as well for good measure. Sorry for the lag between updates. I had my Capstone project to get my bachelors last semester and it pretty much sucked up all of my time. Now that my school schedule is loosening up a bit I'm gonna be looking into getting a real website and sticking to a regular schedule. Expect another comic much sooner than this one took.
[Edit] I cleaned up some of the dialog in the last panel due to some feedback I got, hopefully it makes more sense to people who aren't me now.

Scott Pilgrim Poster

Sorry for the lack of comics lateley. I'll be posting some new stuff soon. In the mean time here's a poster I made for movie night this weekend. We're watching the Blu-Ray of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

The Creative Process

If you can see this you've read too much XKCD
This one is pretty much self explanatory. I will say though that I had much trouble deciding on how to draw the 3rd panel. I couldn't decide if I should just do a cartoon of it or draw it 8-bit but painted. You can see I chose the latter. I entered this one into the comic battle this week, you can vote for your favorite comic (hopefully mine) at http://www.cloudscapecomics.com/2010/07/21/comic-battle-round-7-voting/

Batnap

Batman basically works 3 full time jobs. You can't tell me that doesn't start to hurt his performance at some point. I entered this one into the weekly webcomic contest again. You can vote at http://www.cloudscapecomics.com/2010/06/30/comic-battle-round-4-voting/. The last panel was originally gonna be the joker drawing a penis on batman's face, but I decided that might not fly in the contest.

No Mr. Bond, I Expect You to Rock

Deep down Jaws is really just sad that his Hendrix cover band never worked out. I'm really stoked about how the lettering in panel 2 turned out. Pretty sure that this comic only makes sense to me though, but whatever. I entered this one into a weekly comic contest, so fingers crossed it makes it to voting. Expect a new comic about scooters as soon as I stop hating my line work on it, and probably some journal comics before then.

[Edit] Voting has started on the comic battle. Head over to http://www.cloudscapecomics.com/2010/06/23/comic-battle-round-3-voting/ to cast your vote.

Journal comic #1

If only I had more hours in the day. Real comic coming tomorrow. Expect more journal comics from time to time.

Work Meeting Comic, Diversity Training!

I had to go to diversity training for work for a whole day so I drew a comic while I was there. I kid, but it actually wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be. And totally not saying that because I'm afraid they'll fire me if I don't.

Oh Oh, it's magic

I still love google, no matter how many unicorns the condemn to a live of imprisonment.

In other news, I submitted a shirt design to threadless and you should go there and vote for it right now!

I was planning on having a new comic up this week but my tablet broke, so I'll have to wait until I get that fixed to finish it.

An the award goes too...

This one has been sitting in my sketchbook for a while now. A long while. I gave everyone time to forget that this joke has been made like a million times. I was reading Dresden Codak and A Lesson is Learned and wanted to try to mix up the panel layout a bit, and thus this comic was born. It's okay I guess.

It's a secret

Had a few snow days this week so I decided to finish this full page comic I wrote a while ago. I take any chance I get to make superman look like a jerk. I hate that dude. With a passion. Seriously, he sucks. I'm pretty happy with the panel layout in this one. I was getting tired of 3 panel comics. It took forever to ink and color so I probably won't do another one for a while. Expect another comic to come in the near future. About Kanye West maybe? I dunno, you'll have to find out.

Apathy

What is this? A new comic? Well, it's not actually that new. I drew it about a month ago and hated it so I didn't post it, but now that I haven't updated in a while I decided to dust it off and put it up. Yay standards! I plan on actually updating every once and a while this semester. I make no promises on how often, but I will update. I've been reading a lot of new comics lately, namely Hark a Vagrant, The Everyday, The Loneliest Astronauts, and Space Avalanche, and feeling simultaneously inspired and depressed at my lack of creative output lately, thus my return to the update cycle. See you again sometime in the foreseeable future.

hiatus

Sorry for the sudden hiatus with the comic. I got sucked into another project unexpectedly and it's been taking up most of my free time. One of my friends is making a video game for XBOX live arcade indie games and he asked me to do all of the graphics. We'll hopefully have it ready for release by the end of the year. I included a screen cap so you can see a little of the process. Expect comics to start up semi regularly again once I finish up the game. It's a rampart style strategy game called castle wars.

bassmaster

Sorry for the delay, I got kinda swamped with schoolwork. I'll probably only have one update a week for a while until things slow down.

My little brother, a member of the fraternity of the forgotten half of the rhythm section himself, wanted me to do a comic about the bass. Somehow I don't think this is what he had in mind. This comic takes place in the best lit club in history by the way. This is a statement of fact and in no way a reflection on my ability to draw characters in low light.

Expect another update next Monday or so.

.. Just like every cowboy sings a sad sad song..

I'm not sure if you can consider what the Terminator universe uses "Logic" but I digress....

Sorry for the update so late in the day, I had homework to do last night. I started using google analytics so I'm sure the 5 of you will be very disappointed. Google analytics is actually really cool. I can look at all sorts of stuff like how much time the a person spends on the site and what screen resolution they have. Now that I think about it, it's kinda stalkerish. I wouldn't go as far as to say it makes me feel like the Chuck Berry of web comic artists, but it's definitely a little intrusive.

I'm pretty proud of this one. The comics have , in my opinion, improved in quality since the first few I drew. A trend I hope continues. If this keeps up I may try advertising somewhere at some point.

Chuck Berry was a rock legend that also enjoyed videotaping girls at, uhm, at inappropriate times in a restaurant he owned later in life btw. Look it up for yourself... actually don't look it up, it's creepy.
