bassmaster
My little brother, a member of the fraternity of the forgotten half of the rhythm section himself, wanted me to do a comic about the bass. Somehow I don't think this is what he had in mind. This comic takes place in the best lit club in history by the way. This is a statement of fact and in no way a reflection on my ability to draw characters in low light.
Expect another update next Monday or so.

.. Just like every cowboy sings a sad sad song..
I'm not sure if you can consider what the Terminator universe uses "Logic" but I digress....
Sorry for the update so late in the day, I had homework to do last night. I started using google analytics so I'm sure the 5 of you will be very disappointed. Google analytics is actually really cool. I can look at all sorts of stuff like how much time the a person spends on the site and what screen resolution they have. Now that I think about it, it's kinda stalkerish. I wouldn't go as far as to say it makes me feel like the Chuck Berry of web comic artists, but it's definitely a little intrusive.
I'm pretty proud of this one. The comics have , in my opinion, improved in quality since the first few I drew. A trend I hope continues. If this keeps up I may try advertising somewhere at some point.
Chuck Berry was a rock legend that also enjoyed videotaping girls at, uhm, at inappropriate times in a restaurant he owned later in life btw. Look it up for yourself... actually don't look it up, it's creepy.

Honesty in Advertising
I figured I'd keep with current events and make joke about a commercial that started running several years ago. I'm really happy with the line work on this one. This is the first one I've done that would have looked decent if left it black and white. I hate these commercials by the way. I don't know if I really made that apparent with the comic. Justin Long is hilarious, but they make him act like such a tool in these. Anyway, expect a longer comic Friday if I get it finished on time.

Dreams of what could have been
I've been so obsessed with Batman since Arkham Asylum came out. It's so awesome! I could just punch people in the face for hours in that game. I know it's getting a lot of hype, but it is totally warranted. Stealth games don't often interest me, but staying hidden is rewarded remarkably well in this game. There are few things in life more satisfying then popping out of a heating duct, putting some random thug to sleep with your big, burly arms, and then booby trapping the floor next to him to explode when his buddies come to check on him. Oh, no. Here come the feelings again. But honestly, what real man wouldn't want him to rock you to sleep with his warm, but firm embrace?
If you've made it this far in the post, congratulations, you are my biggest (only) fan. Anyway, I'm very happy with this one. It's my favorite of the comics I've done so far. My man crush on Batman may have influenced this choice.

Is the plural of succubus succubi?
I've created yet another great study in how to alienate large segments of your potential audience. Most people would have referred to it as the new Megan Fox movie. I am not most people.
I can't decide if I'm looking forward to this movie or not. As much as I love Diablo Cody is as much as I hate Megan Fox. But, there hasn't been a good succubus flick in a while, so it might be worth a view. Diablo Cody is the woman who wrote Juno by the way. Maybe I should have said that first.
I feel like the layout is much better in this comic than the last one. I'm not happy with the colors though. I got almost all of the way through coloring it and thought, "Why didn't I set this at night?" That would have been much better. I like the drawing of the succubus in the last panel at least. Oh, other comic stuff, I've decided I'm gonna try to stick to a Tuesday Friday update schedule like Wondermark. Which is an awesome comic that you should read.

It's the robot from logans run

I think I succeeded at making the most specifically target comic ever with this one. I started out on the right track. "Healthcare, that's a hot topic right now. Lots of people care about that. I think pare that with a joke about a sci fi movie from 40 years ago that all of 4 people will get." I like the art in this one, but I think the joke turned out more political than I wanted it to be. This doesn't reflect my views on the bill in any way, I just thought that it was funny that the people against it at the town hall meetings were describing it like the world was gonna turn into Logan's Run if it were passed. Check in next week as I try to make my target audience even smaller!

I was trying to do a "If people said the things they say on twitter in real life" thing about Questlove with this but it didn't really work out. I like the art in the first panel at least. Learn and move on. It's gonna take me a little while to get my bearings so I'm just gonna try to get all of the bad comics out of my system as fast as I can. I promise the text will be larger on the next one. I tried using the font from twitter for effect but it turned out too small.
